Supporting the Academic, Personal and Social Skill development of those Student-Athletes with Exclusive Athletic Identity tendencies

Awareness of those Unique Challenges within the Student Athlete Environment Impacting those who are on Academic Probation

The Student-Athletes Taking the Challenge Program will compliment your Institution's plan to improve Student-Athlete Academic Progress, APR Scores and Graduation Rates

The resources and programs currently provided for student athlete academic and personal skill development have been effective for most of the student athlete body. But there is a group that has been slipping through the cracks and the traditional methods study hall and tutoring alone have not been enough to meet their unique needs, they are the student-athletes who are at risk of developing an Exclusive Athletic Identity.

This type of identity occurs when individuals ascribe great importance to the role of being an athlete and do not acknowledge a self identity beyond sports (Brewer, Van Raalte & Linder, 1993)
